Prices of wire rod and rebar in China kept moving down in August but the markdown was narrowed slightly. The demand did not release at all while prices of raw materials ran in a strong downward trend, making it possible for a further price decline. Nevertheless, September is the traditional high season for steel sales, so insiders predict that the price decline will be limited.
