This month, magnesite resource tax increased from RMB2/t to RMB15/t, and Chinese magnesia smelters started to increase by RMB30-50/t from February. However, demand remained a little slow without any improvements. Export market kept quiet with higher export prices this month, and overseas consumers sent more enquiries, but temporarily haven’t put big orders.
