Downstream demand for indium ingot softened in January, but the price moved down slightly as domestic producers left the market for Chinese New Year holiday. Buying activity remained quiet in international market in January as the price of indium ingot decreased by 5% and 6.7% respectively in Europe and US respectively. Buying activity in indium ingot market is unlikely to improve and the price could keep unchanged next month due to economic uncertainties in Europe and US, and domestic market may keep quiet owing to soft downstream demand and the price is likely to stabilize.
