In October, molybdenum market saw obvious decline both in China and Europe, with molybdenum concentrate prices falling to the level within the production cost and European molyoxide prices breaking the mark of USD13.0/Ib. Following the downtrend of raw material, prices of downstream products dropped accordingly with few purchases. Viewing the bleak economy outlook, participants showed little confidence towards the market before the end of this year.
