Domestic indium price increased due to the tight crude indium supply and speculation in the first half of August. However, the price started to stabilize in the middle of August as the demand from overseas market softened. Since then, domestic indium price decreased as foreign consumers preferred to watch the market and most consumers delayed to purchase and reduced inventories in the end of August. Participants noted that the market was likely to get warmer in September as summer vacation is ending.
