Selenium market went stable in July when supply of refined material remained tight. Some suppliers raised their offers a bit but buyers were reluctant to accept. Due to low production rate of manganese, demand of selenium dioxide remained slow, with the price sliding a bit in the month. Later suppliers raised the offers a bit seeing the summer came to an end. Selenium price remained firm in overseas markets where it was difficult to replenish any material at low prices. However, as demand is not expected to improve soon, selenium market is still under pressure of dropping further in the near term.
