HEC Group breaks ground on coated aluminum foil expansion project

On July 21, HEC Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for its key projects of pharmaceutical & new materials in Yidu, Hubei Province, involving an insulin API and supporting formulation project with a capacity of 980kgpy, a high-performance laminated foil project with a capacity of 30 million square meters, and a coated aluminum foil capacity expansion project of 36,000tpy.

Among them, the laminated foil project leverages 58 domestic and international patents to position HEC for a strategic upgrade--from the world's largest medium- to high-voltage formed foil producer to a global leader in next-generation laminated foil manufacturing. Upon completion of the coated aluminum foil expansion, the Yidu base will reach a total capacity of 48,000tpy.
