Huafon Aluminum commissions hot rolling line for new sheet, strip and foil project

On June 24, Huafon Aluminum held a commissioning ceremony in Fuling for its 1+1+4 hot tandem rolling 2400mm line, the core component of the company's 450,000tpy smart manufacturing project for high-end aluminum sheet, strip and foil used in new energy vehicles.
The newly commissioned hot tandem rolling line represents the centerpiece of Huafon Aluminum's ambitious expansion. Equipped with the industry's most advanced hot rolling technology, the system reduces the entire process from ingot casting to hot-rolled coil to just 6–8 minutes--boosting production efficiency by 73% compared to existing lines. It can roll aluminum plates as thin as 1.5mm. The facility also integrates high-speed cold tandem mills, a full suite of intelligent control systems, and fully automated warehousing solutions, including smart ingot storage, three-dimensional blank and finished-product warehouses, and intelligent flat warehouses.
Once operating at full capacity, the project is expected to generate an additional RMB10 billion (USD1.47 billion) in annual output value, further strengthening Huafon Aluminum's position in the new energy vehicle materials sector.
