On June 16, Shanghai Shenhua Industrial Co., Ltd. officially signed an agreement to establish a 100,000tpy new composite flame-retardant material and titanium dioxide project in the Loudi Economic Development Zone in Hunan Province. With a total investment of RMB500 million (USD73.55 million), the project will be located on a previously idle site formerly occupied by Jinhua Vehicle Co., Ltd.

The new project represents a strategic move by the Loudi Economic Development Zone to enhance its titanium industry value chain through targeted investment attraction, addressing a critical gap in high-value-added downstream new materials. Once operational, it will further strengthen the mid-to-downstream supporting capabilities of the local titanium sector and diversify the zone's portfolio of advanced material industries.
