Dragged by soft demand from NdFeB magnet, phosphor powder, electronic ceramics industries, prices of PrNd, praseodymium, neodymium, dysprosium, terbium, gadolinium and yttrium related products dropped by approximately RMB85,000/mt (USD12,480/mt), RMB55,000/mt (USD8,075.29/mt),RMB100/kg (USD14.68/kg),RMB50/kg (USD7.34/kg), RMB40,000/mt (USD5,872.94/mt) and RMB7,500/mt (USD1,101.18/mt)respectively in May 2026. Owing to strong demand from catalyst and polishing powder industries, prices of lanthanum and cerium related products moved up by about RMB350/mt (USD51.39/mt) and RMB1,000/mt (USD146.82/mt) in May 2026.
The Japanese, South Korean, European and North American markets witnessed limited buying activities but upward prices in May 2026 due to weak demand but few inventories.
