A 22% CIF anti-dumping (AD) duty on Chinese aluminum foil will remain in effect for an additional five years. The Turkish Ministry of Trade finalized the decision in Notice No. 2026/16 on May 24, 2026, with immediate effect.
The measure covers unsupported sheets and strips of rolled aluminum with a thickness not exceeding 0.2mm that have not undergone further processing. These products fall under HS codes 7607.11 and 7607.19.
This protectionist action concludes the second sunset review of the duties, which began on December 12, 2024. Turkey first launched an investigation into these imports on December 21, 2013, and imposed the initial 22% duty on July 26, 2014.
A previous sunset review concluded on January 4, 2020, extending the trade measures prior to this latest regulatory renewal.
