Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited achieved iron ore production of 5.51 million metric tonnes in May 2026, an increase of 19.9% compared to the same month last year, the company said in a statement on Tuesday, June 2.
The company's sales for the month stood at 4.04 million metric tonnes, a decline of 6.9% from May 2025.
On a cumulative basis, during the April–May period of fiscal year 2026–2027, NMDC's iron ore production totaled 9.96 million metric tonnes, a year-on-year decrease of 9.96%.
