Zigong Cemented Carbide to build advanced tungsten carbide powder line

China Tungsten and Hightech Materials Co., Ltd. has announced board approval for its subsidiary, Zigong Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd., to proceed with a technical upgrade project for a medium-coarse tungsten carbide powder production line. The project carries an estimated total investment of RMB179 million (USD26.33 million) and has a construction period of 18 months.
Once completed, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 3,000 tonnes of tungsten carbide powder and 1,000 tonnes of tungsten powder.
