1.Market Highlights
Magnesite: Miners' operating rates kept low, while downstream demand from magnesia plants also kept low.
Fused magnesia: Prices slightly dropped due to weak demand.
Dead burned magnesia: Owing to reduced demand, prices of 90%min slightly dropped. While, driven by reduced supply of major raw materials, CCM97%min, prices of 95%min and 97%min slightly moved up.
Caustic calcined magnesia: Owing to reduced demand, prices dropped.

Major Chinese steel mills reported crude steel production of around 21.04 million tonnes in the first ten days of April, with daily output averaging around 2,104,000 tonnes, up 5.6% from late March, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
