Lidao New Energy (Anhui) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Lidao New Material Co., Ltd., plans to invest about RMB280 million (USD40.69 million) in a battery aluminum foil expansion project, mainly covering equipment procurement and plant construction.
The project is scheduled to begin construction on April 15, 2026, with completion expected within 10 months.
The move comes as surging demand from the fast-growing EV and energy storage sectors tightens existing capacity. The expansion will also help the company capture market share, upgrade processing technology, and enhance product performance for high-end applications. The new capacity will be integrated with the Phase I aluminum foil project (40,000tpa), improving capacity structure and overall operating efficiency.
