Jiangtong Hongyuan Copper to build 150ktpa copper cathode project

Jiangtong Hongyuan Copper Co., Ltd. plans to build a 150,000tpa copper cathode project in the Guixi Economic Development Zone of Yingtan, Jiangxi, with a total planned investment of about RMB1.5 billion (USD216 million). The project's environmental impact assessment has recently been accepted by the provincial ecology and environment authority.
The project is an expansion and will add new production facilities. Using conventional anode plates and gold-silver anode plates as feedstock, it is designed to produce150,000 tonnes of copper cathode per year, including 140,812 tonnes of high-purity copper cathode and 9,188 tonnes of standard copper cathodes.
