1. Market Highlights
In December, prices for Chinese HC ferrochrome and LC ferrochrome went down in early this month under inactive purchasing activities, while prices went up at the end of the month. Prices for silico-chrome went up under tight supply. Prices for HC ferrochrome and LC ferrochrome in Europe and the US stayed stable under inactive buying activities. In India, the CIF-China prices for HC ferrochrome went down slightly under limited transactions.
In December, the in-port prices of South African chrome concentrate and Turkish chrome ore went down slightly in early this month under limited transactions, while prices went up in the second half. Prices of South African chrome lumpy went down under inactive purchasing activities. Prices of Zimbabwean chrome ore went up under active buying activities.
