Masteel completes hot-commissioning of new galvanizing line

On December 22, Maanshan Iron & Steel Company Limited (Masteel) completed the hot-commissioning of its No. 6 cold-rolled galvanizing line, marking the start of production.
The project, with a total investment of about RMB1.17 billion (USD166 million), broke ground in May last year. It has an annual production capacity of 450,000 tonnes of high-strength and ultra-high-strength automotive steel with pure zinc coatings and is expected to achieve annual output value of RMB2.7 billion (USD384 million).
The new line will significantly increase Masteel's automotive sheet production capacity and support the steel industry's shift toward greener, low-carbon, high-quality growth.
