Prices of wire rod in major regions of China saw a downward trend during the month on weak demand, and those of rebar witnessed different trends. Besides, Chinese export prices of wire rod and rebar went down during the month due to the low demand from overseas customers.
In the international market, prices of wire rod and rebar in Malaysia moved up during the month mainly supported by high prices of steel mills, while those in India, Thailand and Vietnam dropped on soft demand.
