Shanxi Chalco Huarun commissions casting aluminum alloy project

On December 1, Shanxi Chalco Huarun Co., Ltd. began production at its 40,000tpa casting aluminum alloy project, putting its first alloy production line into operation. The RMB12.33 million (USD1.74 million) project, approved in March, upgrades the existing casting workshop with new refining, filtration, magnetic stirring and wheel-and-belt casting equipment. It will produce A356.2 and similar aluminum alloy ingots and can also supply molten alloy to downstream users.
The project supports national and Chalco's efforts to promote aluminum melt alloying and better resource efficiency, while helping the company expand from single-product output into higher-value alloy products.
