Tibet Yulong Copper Co., Ltd. has completed and launched its upgrade project aimed at improving the treatment of complex, hard-to-process ores at Yulong Copper Mine in Qingnidong, Changdu. The project involved replacing outdated facilities, building new workshops, upgrading processing systems, and improving supporting infrastructure.
After the upgrade, the project's annual processing capacity for oxidized copper ore would increase from 350,000 tonnes to 1 million tonnes, with copper leaching rate expected to exceed 67% and the overall recovery set to reach 65%, and the annual copper cathode output would rise from 4,058 tonnes to 13,527 tonnes. This upgrade marks an important step forward in China's ability to process complex ores and adds new momentum to industrial development in eastern Tibet.
