The copper ore processing plant jointly built by Huixin Copper and Ama Usu Mining has officially begun operation. The facility, located in the Bainaimiao area of Siziwang Banner, is designed for processing 800,000 tonnes of raw ore annually, with a production capacity of 10,000 tonnes of copper concentrate.
The plant is expected to produce 3,200 tonnes of copper concentrate by the end of 2025, worth about 64 million yuan (9.05 million US dollars). After deeper exploration and full underground development are completed next year, the project's annual output value could reach 1.1 billion yuan (155 million US dollars).
Huixin Copper has so far invested 230 million yuan (32.51 million US dollars) in the project, mainly for mine and plant construction. The company is also reprocessing years of accumulated waste slag produced by Ama Usu Mining to improve both environmental and economic outcomes.
