Zhongshe New Materials commissions silicomanganese project

On November 18, Hunan Zhongshe New Materials Co., Ltd. put its new project into operation in Zhushan, Yongzhou, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes of high-silicon silicomanganese and 30,000 tonnes of LC ferromanganese, along with an integrated energy-utilization unit. Zhongshe New Materials is currently Hunan's largest alloy producer and the first in the province to produce LC ferromanganese.
With a total investment of RMB860 million (USD122 million), the project covers 431Mu (28.8 hectares) and has 250,000 square meters of plant space. It is equipped with two fully sealed 36,000 kVA furnaces, a 6,300 kVA refining furnace, and several supporting power station, forming the largest and most advanced silicomanganese alloy production line in Hunan. Once operating at full capacity, it is expected to generate RMB1.5 billion (USD212 million) in annual output and RMB50 million (USD7.06 million) in taxes.
