Chengzhou Zinc Smelter, a subsidiary of Baiyin Nonferrous Group, has seen impressive results following upgrades in its cadmium production section. By late October, cumulative crude cadmium output exceeded 200 tonnes, up by 31 tonnes from the same period in 2024, reflecting simultaneous gains in both production and efficiency.
Since the new reduction furnace began operation in mid-July, the smelter has maintained an average monthly production of over 28 tonnes of crude cadmium. Monthly output is expected to surpass 30 tonnes in the near future, setting a new record for single-month production.
