Major Chinese steel mills' daily crude steel output inches up in mid-Oct

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 19.76 million tonnes of finished steel products during the second ten-day period of October, with the daily average output at around 1,976,000 tonnes, a modest increase of 0.8% from early this month, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of 16.58 million tonnes, an increase of 700,000 tonnes or 4.4% compared with ten days ago.
