Baogang Hefa Rare Earth gets approval to expand REO separation capacity

Baogang Hefa Rare Earth Co., Ltd. has received approval from the Inner Mongolia Department of Industry and Information Technology to expand its rare earth separation capacity by 6,000 tonnes of REO per year.
The expansion project, located at the company's existing plant in Baotou New Materials Industrial Park, will build annual extraction and separation capacity of 6,000tpa of REO, including 4,650 tonnes of lanthanum-cerium carbonate, 1,230 tonnes of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, and 120 tonnes of samarium-europium-gadolinium chloride solution. This expansion is part of a capacity replacement project, so no additional capacity quota is added.
The project involves an estimated investment of RMB82.48 million (USD11.56 million), fully funded by the company, with an expected construction period of 8 months.
