Major Chinese steel mills produced around 23.52 million tonnes of finished steel products during the last eleven-day period of August, with the daily average output at around 2,138,000 tonnes, up by 4.4% from mid-August, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of approximately 14.98 million tonnes, a decrease of 690,000 tonnes or 4.4% compared with the middle of the month.
