On August 24, a collapse occurred at the main mining site of Hunan Xinlong Mining Co., Ltd., killing one employee. The company has temporarily suspended operations for safety and rectification. The timeline for resuming production remains uncertain while the investigation is underway.
Xinlong Mining primarily engages in the mining, acquisition, and sale of gold, antimony, and other nonferrous metals. In 2024, the company's main site produced 376kg of gold and 4,497 tonnes of antimony, generating revenue of RMB472 million (USD65.96 million). In the first half of 2025, production totaled 187kg of gold and 2,070 tonnes of antimony, with revenue reaching RMB330 million (USD46.12 million).
