Anhui Weichu kicks off aluminum-based new materials project

On August 22, Anhui Weichu Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Weichu New Materials Co., Ltd. signed an agreement with the Shiliang Town government in Tianchang City, Chuzhou, to launch its 200,000 tpa aluminum-based new materials and energy storage equipment project.
The project, with a total investment of RMB1.5 billion (USD210 million), will be located in the Shiliang area of Chuzhou High-Tech Zone, covering approximately 300Mu (20 hectares) with a total built-up area of 130,000 square meters. Once completed, it will have an annual output of 200,000 tonnes of high-precision aluminum-based materials (including series 1, 3, and 5 aluminum sheets and strips) and 5,000 energy storage units.
The finished products will primarily used in new energy storage systems, battery structural components, and high-end decorative materials. At full capacity, the project is expected to generate annual revenue of RMB5 billion (USD699 million), with yearly taxes and profits of around RMB300 million (USD41.93 million), while boosting local employment and strengthening Anhui Province's position in aluminum-based materials and energy storage equipment.
