China's finished steel output rises 6.4% YoY in Jul

In July 2025, China produced 70.8 million tonnes of pig iron, down by 1.4% YoY, 79.66 million tonnes of crude steel, down by 4.0% YoY, and 122.95 million tonnes of finished steel products, up by 6.4% YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to July, the country's production of pig iron shrank by 1.3% YoY to 505.83 million tonnes, crude steel production decreased by 3.1% YoY to 594.47 million tonnes, while finished steel products production rose by 5.1% YoY to 860.47 million tonnes.
