Sinomine to upgrade lithium salt production line

Sinomine Resource (Jiangxi) Lithium Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinomine Resource Group, plans to upgrade its 25,000tpa lithium salt production line to a 30,000tpa high-purity lithium salt facility. The project involves a total investment of approximately RMB121 million (USD16.87 million), funded through internal or self-raised capital. The production line will be shut down for around six months starting June 27, 2025, to carry out the upgrade.
The company currently operates two production lines, including a 25,000tpa lithium salt line and a 35,000tpa high-purity lithium salt line. This upgrade targets only the 25,000tpa line and will not affect the latter.
Once completed, the upgraded facility will produce battery-grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, with sodium sulfate as a by-product. After the project becomes operational, Sinomine will have a total battery-grade lithium salt production capacity of 71,000tpa.
