China's copper cathode output grows 13.6% YoY in May

China's refined copper (copper cathode) production was around 1.25 million tonnes in May 2025, up by 13.6% YoY, and that of copper products rose by 13.4% YoY to 2.10 million tonnes, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to May, China produced about 6.05 million tonnes of copper cathode, up by 8.0% over the prior year period, and 9.54 million tonnes of copper products, up by 6.2% versus a year ago.
