    1. Market Highlights

    In May, due to inactive buying activities, prices for Chinese HC and LC ferrochrome as well as silicon chromium went down. Imported prices for HC ferrochrome kept flat.

    In May, the in port prices for chrome ore from South African, Zimbabwe and Turkey declined due to the bearish attitudes and inactive market. The import prices for chrome ore from South African, Zimbabwe and Turkey almost remained steady under inactive purchasing activities.

    Prices for Chinese chrome metal went down in the last week of May discouraged by inactive market, while prices of chromium oxide green and chromic anhydride remained flat.
