Hainan Mining begins trial production at battery-grade lithium hydroxide project

Hainan Mining has started trial production at its 20,000tpa battery-grade lithium hydroxide project, with the first batch of qualified products successfully produced.
The project, with a total investment of 1.06 billion yuan (147 million US dollars), began construction in late 2022 and is the first in Danzhou-Yangpu to supply raw materials for EV lithium batteries. It is operated by Hainan Xingzhihai New Materials Co., Ltd., a majority-owned subsidiary of Hainan Mining.
Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate over 2 billion yuan (278 million US dollars) in annual output value and create more than 200 local jobs.
