Prices of wire rod and rebar in major regions of China witnessed a downward trend during the month on soft demand and the price decrease in futures market. Besides, Chinese export prices of wire rod and rebar went up during the month due to the appreciation of RMB.
In the international market, prices of wire rod and rebar in Malaysia went down further during the month on weak demand, and those in Thailand, India and Vietnam moved up mainly supported by high prices of steel mills.
