Prices of rebar in major regions of China kept the downward trend during the month on weak demand and the price decrease in futures market. Prices of wire rod in Tianjin went down during the month on soft demand, while those in Shanghai and Guangzhou increased mainly supported by high prices of steel mills. In addition, Chinese export prices of wire rod and rebar were generally stable during the month.
In the international market, prices of wire rod and rebar in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam moved down during the month on low demand, and those in India went up mainly supported by high prices of steel mills.
