1. Market Highlights
Due to tight supply, Chinese imported tantalum concentrate market prices increased this month. As most suppliers stayed in no hurry to sell as the market saw tight supply, Chinese tantalum oxide and tantalum metal market prices increased in April. Encouraged by strong demand, Chinese imported niobium concentrate market prices increased in April. Due to higher prices of raw materials, Chinese niobium oxide and ferroniobium market prices increased this month.
European tantalite and American tantalum metal market prices increased in April as the market saw tight supply. Although the demand went soft, European ferroniobium market prices increased this month as many of them faced higher production cost.
