Baoshan sees steady growth in Q1 silicon metal production

China's Baoshan city reported a 6.5% increase in the added value of industrial output by companies above designated size for the first quarter of 2025, 10.2 percentage points faster than last year.
From January to March, Baoshan produced 84,000 tonnes of industrial silicon, up by 14.7% YoY, and the production of monocrystalline silicon and polysilicon reached 15,957.5 tonnes and 8,424.5 tonnes respectively, down by 5.4% and 54.4% YoY.
