Northern Rare Earth Magnet Materials launches rapid-quenched NdFeB alloy project

On April 25, Inner Mongolia Northern Rare Earth Magnetic Materials Co., Ltd. held a kick-off meeting for its 50,000tpa high-performance rapid-quenched NdFeB alloy project. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 50,000 tonnes of magnetic material alloys and 10,000 tonnes of hydrogen-crushed powder.
After commissioning, the facility will be equipped with industry-leading continuous vacuum melting systems, along with advanced technologies such as automated batching, MES centralized control systems, and smart warehouses. These upgrades will significantly enhance its level of automation, creating the largest single-unit capacity plant with the best overall cost efficiency, leading quality, and strongest market competitiveness in the rare earth magnetic materials (powder) sector.
This project is a key initiative by Northern Rare Earth to seize policy opportunities and market expansion windows, aiming to promote the development of the downstream rare earth materials and applications industry chain. It will effectively support the extension of the praseodymium-neodymium metal industry chain, foster the industrialization of high-performance NdFeB magnetic materials, and build a supply capacity that aligns with the goals of establishing "Two Rare Earth Bases". Ultimately, it will better transform the company's resource advantages into a synergistic growth advantage across the entire industry chain.
