Huafon Aluminium kicks off 450ktpa aluminum sheet and foil project

On April 9, Shanghai Huafon Aluminium Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony in Fuling District for its smart manufacturing project with an annual production capacity of 450,000 tonnes per year of high-end aluminum sheet, strip, and foil for new energy vehicles (NEVs).
The project, with a total investment of 2.62 billion yuan (359 million US dollars), will build a 450,000tpa aluminum sheet, strip, and foil production line that will feature state-of-the-art intelligent equipment and environmentally friendly production processes. Once completed, it will significantly enhance the supply capacity of lightweight materials for NEVs.
