China Ocean Group secures 50-year bauxite mining rights in Guinea-Bissau

China Ocean Group Co., Ltd. has been granted the mining right to develop bauxite deposits in the Oio and Gabu regions of Guinea-Bissau for a period of 50 years. The designated mining area covers approximately 115 square kilometers, with total reserves estimated at around 500 million cubic meters.
China Ocean Group is one of China's largest marine industry conglomerates, operating across multiple sectors, including marine transportation, engineering, aquaculture, power generation, fishing, environmental protection, and the development and utilization of marine resources. Its subsidiary, GRUPO CHINES PARA GUINE MELHOR (SARL), has been present in Guinea-Bissau since its establishment in 2002.
