Wutai Yunhai Magnesium receives dolomite mining license

Wutai Yunhai Magnesium Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Baowu Magnesium, has been granted the mining permit for a dolomite mine in Wutai County by Xinzhou Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources.
In 2023, Yunhai Magnesium acquired the mining right of Dapu dolomite mine in Wutai County for about RMB1.17 billion (USD161 million), which is expected to ensure a stable supply of raw material for the company's production of primary magnesium and magnesium alloy.
The mining license, valid until March 4, 2055, allows the company to mine dolomite with an open-pit mining capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum.
