Chenzhou Mining to build world-class antimony and gold smelting hub

On February 14, the groundbreaking ceremony for three key projects developed by Hunan Chenzhou Mining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hunan Mineral Resources Group, was held at Chenzhou Industrial New Area in Guanzhuang Town, Huaihua City.
The three projects, with a total investment of RMB1.4 billion (USD192 million), would respectively produce 30,000t of antimony, 10t of gold ingot and 10t of processed gold products annually when fully operational, and are expected to achieve total output value of RMB11.5 billion (USD1.58 billion). Relying on its antimony and gold resources advantage, Chenzhou Mining aims to build a world-class antimony and gold smelting hub at Chenzhou Industrial New Area.
Hunan Chenzhou Mining Group Co., Ltd. is one of China's top ten gold mines and the world's largest producer of antimony. In 2024, Chenzhou Mining achieved record highs in both output value and profit, reaching RMB26.8 billion (USD3.68 billion) and RMB735 million (USD101 million), respectively, with year-on-year growth of 20% and 75%.
