Major Chinese steel mills' daily steel product output up 2.6% in late Jan

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 22.25 million tonnes of finished steel products during the last eleven-day period of January 2025, when the daily output was 2,023,000 tonnes, up by 2.6% from mid-January, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of around 15.35 million tonnes, an increase of 2.42 million tonnes or 18.7% from mid-January.
