Major Chinese steel mills' daily steel product output rises in mid-Jan

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 19.72 million tonnes of finished steel products during the second ten-day period of January 2025, when the daily output was 1,972,000 tonnes, up by 3.8% from early January, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of around 12.93 million tonnes, up by 340,000 tonnes or 2.7% from ten days ago.
