China's copper cathode production up 4.1% in 2024

China's refined copper (copper cathode) production was around 1.24 million tonnes in December 2024, up by 4.3% YoY, and that of copper products increased by 8.9% YoY to 2.27 million tonnes, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In 2024, China produced about 13.64 million tonnes of copper cathode, up by 4.1% from the prior year, and 23.5 million tonnes of copper products, up by 1.7% from the previous year.
