WELION signs electrolyte purchase agreement with Shanghai Energy

On January 13, Shanghai Energy New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a holding subsidiary of Yunnan Energy New Material Co., Ltd. (SEMCORP), together with its affiliated companies, entered into a purchase agreement with Beijing WELION New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
Under the agreement, WELION will purchase 80% of raw materials, including electrolyte diaphragm for semi-solid battery and electrolyte & electrolyte diaphragm for all-solid-state battery, from Shanghai Energy and its affiliated companies during 2025 to 2030, when the total purchase volume for electrolyte diaphragm would be no less than 300 million sq.m., and that for electrolyte would be no less than 100 tonnes.
