Shandong Chuangyuan puts 1.5Mtpa aluminum hydroxide project in to operation

On December 26, Shandong Chuangyuan New Material Technology Co., Ltd. commenced production at its 1.5Mtpa aluminum hydroxide project in Lubei High-tech Development Zone, just six months after the construction started.
Since settled in Lubei High-tech Development Zone, the company has built production capacities of 800,000tpa of alumina, 1.2Mtpa of aluminum hydroxide and 680,000tpa of aluminum new material, achieving a total industrial output value of RMB15.4 billion (USD2.11 billion) and tax contribution of RMB1.2 billion (USD164 million).
The company has been advancing another project with a production capacity of 3Mtpa. Coupled with the newly-commissioned project, the company expects to have a total production capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum of aluminum hydroxide.
