Aluminum production rises at Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Zone

12 aluminum-related companies at Baotou National Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone achieved a total industrial production value of 28.26 billion yuan (3.88 billion US dollars) in the first eleven months of 2024, up by 6.8% from the prior year period.
From January to November, the national high-tech zone produced 784,000 tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 0.8% YoY. The production of processed aluminum products reached 779,000 tonnes during the eleven-month period, when the high-tech zone also produced 888t of alumina, 1.17 million pieces of aluminum alloy frame, 4.99 kilometers of cable and 646t of conductor wire.
