The project, with a total investment of RMB200 million (USD27.51 million) and a planned area of 109Mu (7 . 27 hectares), mainly consists of an aluminum scrap recycling line, a steel scrap recycling line, a vehicle disassembly line and a new energy battery recycling line . When fully completed, it is expected to supply 80,000-100,000 tonnes per year of high-grade aluminum scrap to Huajin Aluminum, and generate annual production value of RMB1 . 5 billion (USD206 million), along with tax revenue of RMB100 million (USD13 . 75 million).
Huajin Aluminum put a new furnace unit into operation in June 2024, doubling its production capacity. As of this November, the company produced 32,789 tonnes of aluminum ingot and liquid aluminum, which were sold to major automotive OEM, auto parts factories and aviation parts processing plants in China, up by 59% YoY . As one of the largest recycled aluminum producers in China, the company has an annual demand of roughly 200,000 tonnes of aluminum scrap.
